About Rachel

Rachel started blogging after the birth of her son because she wanted to be the first to let the world know that, as a new mom, she had no idea what she was doing.  She kept blogging because people were begging her to (and by people she means her mother).  She released her first short book of humor essays in August 2011.  Cut Film Cover to Vent, has managed to shatter all kinds of sales records in the category of "35 page humor essay books written by women named Rachel."  As a result, Rachel has become a sensation amongst her mother's friends and at her grandmother's assisted living.

In addition to blogging and authoring, Rachel started a traveling murder mystery party business called Make it a Mystery in 1999 that requires her to carry a portable crime scene around in her car at all times.  Over the last 12 years, she has written and hosted murder mystery parties for corporate events and private functions.  She has written two full-length mystery dinner theater shows, This Song is for you, Mr. Hitler and A Christmas Carol…Competition, which were performed in GA, AL and NC.

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Rachel has received recognition for her humor writing by HumorPress and is a featured contributor in the recently released humor anthology, My Funny Valentine.

She is married with two sons.
